October 2006 marks the Breast Cancer Awareness month, another month to show our support of the “pink promise.” As part of our 15th Breast Cancer Awareness campaign, we distribute pink ribbons and offer limited specially-designed products to help bring popular awareness of breast cancer to a higher level, to raise funds for research, and to impress upon our shopping customers of our pink products the importance of early screening in the fight against breast cancer.

Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation

Founded in 2004 by famous surgeon and breast cancer expert, Dr. Polly Suk Yee Cheung, Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation is a registered charity organization dedicated to increasing popular awareness of breast cancer and early prevention. The foundation provides patients with the support necessary for recovery. Another mission of the organization is to support research on breast cancer and advocacy of better nursing care.

Our stores and counters distribute pink ribbons and breast cancer materials along with the 2007 calendar Octopus Premium Sets and encourage customers to wear the pink ribbon as a means to support breast cancer care activities and to seek information that will help them better understand breast cancer.
